Since September 2013, a new Chef, Julien Stefanizzi, is the head of the restaurant, Le Coupe Gorge !
Located just a few steps from Hôtel de Ville and Marais, the Restaurant Le Coupe Gorge, with its old wooden floors, stone, and red velvet banquettes, was founded in 1895 on rue de la Coutellerie (cutlers street).
Its current name which means "Cut Throat" is a french expression to talk about a very dangerous place, where you should not stay for too long otherwise you are likely to get mugged. Its name is recent and probably related to the off-beat humour of its previous owners !
Far from being a trap, Le Coupe Gorge offers a traditional warm and friendly atmosphere in an old Parisian establishment.
